VARIETY ACTS AND TURNS OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR

Total running time: 2 hours and 36 minutes (approx)

Region: Region 2 - Will only play on European Region 2 or multi-region DVD players.

Over two and a half  hours of the performances and songs sung by the populist, morale boosting variety acts and singers of the second World War. This DVD also celebrates the work of ENSA – the “Entertainments National Service Association” set up in 1939 to provide entertainment for British armed service personnel throughout the war. ENSA endearingly became known by the troops as “Every Night Something Awful”. Features include balancing acts, strongmen, comedians, musicians and singers including Flanagan & Allen, Gracie Fields, Vera Lynn, Max Wall, Joe Loss and many more.

Our DVDs are PAL format. Feature films are zone 2.
