This 1:72 scale replica die cast model represents DG207/G which was intended to be the basis for the Meteor 2 and is decorated in the wartime grey and green camouflage scheme with yellow undersides. Its number DG207 is printed towards the rear of the fuselage with the prototype P printed in yellow behind the RAF roundel on each side of the aircraft.
New tooling introduces a very unusual bus to the 1:76 scale series. It is modelled on a vehicle housed and on public display at the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington and the crew bus is thought to be one of only five to survive into preservation.
This 1:72 scale model is the first WWI aircraft to enter the Oxford Aviation series and is particularly pertinent as we commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the conflict that was to change history in so many ways. You can see one preserved example displayed as part of the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden in Bedfordshire.
Featuring a white Vulcan Bomber on a glazed dark blue background with a watermarked Union flag, this high quality porcelain mug comes complete with cream presentation box.
