    Dogs were an airman's best friend. They were popular mascots and regularly appear in photographs of air and ground crews. The Museum exhibit is an actual jacket made by an RFC tailor, worn by a dog belonging to an officer of the Royal Flying Corps. It is adorned with RFC Pilot's wings, Captain and Observer badges.
