Hendon Display Greetings Card - 30th June

The Historic Hendon Collection has been inspired by the history of our London site and features air display programme covers and posters from the Museum’s archive.

As the London Aerodrome, the Museum’s London site was the birthplace of aviation in the UK: the first airmail, parachute jump, night flight and aerial defence of a city all took place there. It was a major centre of First World War aircraft production and later became RAF Hendon, playing a key role in the Battle of Britain.
