ST Clements Danes Church RAF Cocktail Book

This collection is an exciting mix of Royal Air Force-themed drinks, with ideas contributed by a wide range of RAF personnel, supporters, and sponsors, and all overseen and refined by a team led by cocktail connoisseur and aviation historian Paul Beaver. The book includes recipes for 41 cocktails, from new takes on classics such as the French 75 or Old Fashioned, to RAF specials including the Lancaster Bomber, Blenheim Bellini, and Hitomi Blitz.

Full-colour throughout, each page is filled with photographs and illustrations of drinks, RAF people, St Clement Danes itself, and iconic aircraft such as the Spitfire and the F-35. St Clement Danes is an ancient church in the heart of London, used as a place of worship since the time of Alfred the Great. Having been designed and rebuilt by Sir Christopher Wren in the seventeenth century, the church was gutted by fire bombs during the Second World War. The church was re-built and re-consecrated in 1958 as the Central Church of the Royal Air Force, providing a spiritual home for the whole RAF community and a place of
remembrance for those who went before. The church contains the names of over 150,000 people who have died whilst in service with the RAF.

The 1941 Appeal will raise the funding required to repair the church's famous steeple, originally damaged during the bombing of 1941, open up the crypt as a multi-use well-being, education and community area, renovate the fine church organ, and redevelop the island on which the church sits. This work will help safeguard the future of St Clement Danes as a hub for the whole Royal Air Force family and the local community.
