34cm wall clock, quartz movement powered by 1 AA battery (not included).
How the Sector clock was used in the Operations Room:
Markers placed on operations room maps had to be kept up to date, so coloured markers were used following the coloured segments on the clock: when the minute hand was in the red sector a red marker would be used, then yellow, then blue. This meant that the overall picture would be no more than 10 minutes old. Without this simple time coding system devised by the RAF, the British might not have been so successful in holding control of the skies over Britain during the crucial Battle of Britain as well as later in the war. It is believed that such clocks were in use from around 1935 to the early 1950s.
